My solution to one of my biggest pet-peeves:
I very strongly detest corner cabinets. Most of the time builders make them into a lazy-susan, or leave them as a place you have to crawl inside of to get to anything. I DO NOT like either of these solutions, so I came up with my own solution to my corner cabinet...
Instead of accessing the corner cabinet from the kitchen, I had them put the door under the raised bar. Now it holds my table cloths and place mats. EASY PEASY access!
Tomorrow I'll show you the dining area!
Thats what we did under our bar too, put it on the other side. Works out great!!

ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely brilliant. I love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a smart idea. I have a similar cabinet that I could do the same with! Your new home is lovely.

ReplyDeleteThat is BRILLIANT! If I get to design my own kitchen I am SO going to use this!! lol. I love it! I hate those silly corner cabinets too!
ReplyDeleteYou are fabulous.
ReplyDeletewe have a bar like that in our kitchen too and this is an awesome idea. Might just have to share this with the hubby because it certainly would make getting the items in the far back of the inside cabinet easier. Loving the peek into your new home! Beautiful! ~Big hugs, xoxo
ReplyDeleteThis is a great ideal for space
ReplyDeleteWhat a genius, I don't have a corner cabinet to be concerned about yet...But you can be sure this is an idea worth keeping in the back of my mind to use in the future.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the new kithchen...Beautiful curtains! Did you make them yourself? I love toile, and I can't say enough about the sunny yellow paint, but my FAVORITE is your Blue Willow Transferware...I have been collecting blue & white pottery for many years...
Can't wait to see the rest of the cottage!
