Candy

All year long, candy is at the bottom of
my list of sweet treats list.

I prefer ice cream, cakes, and pastries.  But when December hits, a strange craving overtakes my body and CANDY, especially CHOCOLATE CANDY shoots right to the top of my sweets list.

The other day I actually bought 2 boxes of assorted chocolates and hid them in my studio so I wouldn't have to share with my kids. The sad part about this is I DON"T feel a bit guilty...

Does anything like this happen to you?

  1. Because of the candida, I will never eat real sugar again, but I still want it. I substitute candy with things like dates and prunes. Sometimes I will make an energy bar type thing that kind of tastes like candy.

Eat it while you can.... you never know when you will have to give it up.

  4. I have personally always held the belief that chocolate is the fifth and most important food group. Who needs guilt!!! I will say though that chocolate is always at the top of my list, at all times and seasons! Thanks for a fun post!!

  5. Oh my goodness; I could go without all junk food; but you just can't take away my chocolate! haha. And yes, the desires for chocolate get worse in December.

  6. I'm a sap for peanut butter pie. I don't think any mother should feel guilty about hiding something she doesn't want to share. You deserve something for carrying them around in your womb for 9 months. LOL

  7. That is too funny Becky Jane! I guess I crave some cakes this time of year. Any other time I really dislike cake but there are two people who can change my mind about that. My Mom for one makes the worlds best applesauce cake. My Aunt makes the worlds only edible white fruit cake. Both are scrumptious! Enjoy your hidden treats ;D

  11. I love the save the planet sign. I hadn't seen that one before, but oh, do I know people who would get a kick out of it! So glad to see the video at the top. You were the one who inspired me to go set up a profile at mormon.org.

  12. I love chocolate! But my children both seem to have very good chocolate radars and can hear a wrapper rustling from a mile away... and then they suddenly appear right next to me, so I've had to learn to share:)
    Enjoy your December treats!
    Kristina :)
