For the next few months, I'm going to be posting about our life adventures in a motel! 2 adults and 3 teens sharing 1 motel room with 1 bathroom (did I mention 2 of the teens are girls?) There will be humorous posts, drama posts, and posts of insanity....but it will all be fun! Did I mention that CL and I are sharing a motel room with our 3 teens? Find out why HERE!
(All my past Motel Monday posts can be viewed HERE.)
Last week I posted about some of the things we have grown to appreciate, so...
Todays Post: What we'll miss when we leave the hotel life:
- Housekeeping.
- Fresh bedding that we didn't have to change or laundry ourselves.
- The closeness we've developed being in tight quarters…I hope we keep this one.
- Having to forgive quickly…cause there ain't nowhere to stomp off to…even sleeping on the couch isn't an option. (Note, CL and I have never made sleeping on the couch an option when we've disagreed, but the kids have slept on the couch a few times).
- Ready made breakfast every morning consisting of waffles, eggs, pastries, juice, cold cereal, the works!
- Not having to do breakfast dishes.
- Having someone clean and sanitize our bathroom everyday!
Sounds good to me.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to bring these housekeeping ladies to my new house...lol
DeleteGosh, you have kind of turned this upside down, seeing the good. All this stuff is really cool, so I guess the only bad thing is the crowding. I have been looking forward to this post. Makes me want to check into a hotel!
ReplyDeleteHotel life is good for short time visits! It's the LOOOOONG time visits that make the stay not so fun!
DeleteNow the cleaning of my bathrooms I could certainly get used to!!! I'm sure that the closeness will remain long after you all get into your brand new home....and this will be such a great time to look back on....sweet memories!!!
ReplyDeleteI think that by the time we get in our house and a year or so has gone by, this hotel experience will be fun to look back on...I hope!
DeleteYes, for all the shortcomings of living in a hotel, those were definitely things I missed when we moved into our own home! I also missed having our own indoor POOL!!
ReplyDeleteI have a funny post coming up that talks about our pool!
DeleteThe bathroom cleaning sound good to me. I am sure you are looking forward to moving in your new home.
ReplyDeleteBonnie, we went over today and their installing the windows and door....yippppppeeeeeeeeeee!
DeleteBecky you had me feeling sorry for you till I read this post, I think I could handle the cramped space for daily housekeeping and fresh breakfast!! Love you!
ReplyDeleteHey, I just read your above post, is that true, did they install the windows, wow!! They are moving fast!! xoxo
Kathy, life is not too pitiful...and yes, they installed the windows and doors. I was so excited I forgot to take pictures!
ReplyDeleteThose are some really good points. I am still trying to imagine sharing a bathroom with two teenage girls. Having one who could take up to an hour to shower was traumatic enough for me.
ReplyDeleteSo very nice to meet you and I am following you also. Wonderful to look on the positive side of your situation and I know you are thrilled with your new home. Have a great day.
ReplyDeletehaha I'm sure you'll miss all those! But I am really excited to see the finished cottage... I'm you all are even more excited ;-)

I really miss the housekeepers. It is so nice to not have to clean ourselves isn't it.
