I got treated to sleeping in and CL took the day off so we could be together. First of all, let me explain about sleeping in while living in a hotel with 3 teenagers who are trying to get ready for school with just ONE bathroom...a person DOES NOT sleep while this is going on. But, once they left...ahhhh peace and quiet!
We spent the day shopping, eating lunch together, and of course checking out the progress on our new house. CL is my favorite person to be with. I know some wives don't anticipate the time their husbands will retire and be home all the time...but I long for this day. We love being together.
I think the surprise that boosted my moral the most was when I was trying on some new clothes...much to my astonishment I've lost a few pounds and was able to buy clothes a size smaller...cool!
All my married daughters remembered to call me and sent me gifts. BUT as is so typical of my 6 sons, only one of them called to wish me a happy birthday. Sunday we're meeting at the park for Mothers Day, so maybe they'll remember their poor, neglected mother then...lol
All in all, it was a fantastic day!

Happy Birthday! Wow time does fly...I am 52. CL and you seem to have good times. Funny about the boys...my son remembers better than my daughter
