When Family Comes

Monday, my oldest daughter and granddaughter came to visit for a few days. Moomoo is 8 years old; we've never gotten to spend much personal time together, so it was a special time for me to be able to just visit one-on-one with her. I taught her how to play Uno and helped her with her homework. And speaking as a grandma, I must say she is such a sweetheart.

This is what I found out about Moomoo:

  • Her favorite colors are purple, blue, pink, and yellow.
  • She has 3 boyfriends, but only because they're so funny.
  • She didn't know how to play Uno.
  • She doesen't think her mom is very smart cause she missed a math problem. (Actually her mom used to be a legal secretary and is very smart. Isn't it funny the image kids create about their parents!)

She had been saving her money so she could go shopping when they came...her purchases included a bean-bag chair, a pair of sunglasses, and a pair of aqua blue fake glasses. Moomoo is such a cutie! She's been wearing her fake glasses ever since she got them...what a hoot.

My favorite comment Moomoo made was when she was telling me about one of her older friends, "She used to be in drama, but now she works at Taco Bell."

Tonight we're all going to the musical "The Secret Garden".

(Just a note about her picture. Her dad is a real cowboy. He and their son - age 5- didn't come on this trip because they were branding calves.)

    1. I've given all my family fake names that I use for the internet. Moomoo is her name because we all say her real name followed by Moomoo.

  3. I would love to see a picture of her, maybe with those glasses on! Us grandparents have such a wonderful opportunity to make lasting memories with the grand-kids, ones they will never forget!

    1. After being with Moomoo for such a long time yesterday I could kick myself for not getting a picture of her in her glasses...maybe tonight!

I hope we can create some fond memories together.
