Our Cottage - The Kitchen

The tour of our new home will begin with the most important and used room in the house...and I'm not talking about the bathrooms.

Here's our new kitchen...

Beginning the install

Completed...the cabinets are a natural maple.  I enjoy the lighter color of maple.

These curtains were the first thing I put up when we moved in...Kitchen curtains made it feel like home, even though the house was still completely empty!

Bakers Corner  and pantry

I really like my spice shelves.

(Notice the yellow binder? It contains a recipe book CL and I got when we were first married. The original book binding wore out and I put it in this yellow binder, which is pretty worn out now... It's the most used cook book I own...All my kids have asked and asked for that book...when I die it will be the hottest item!)

Some of my favorite accents

As you can tell, I don't like knobs on my drawers or cabinet doors.

Come back tomorrow to find out my solution to one of my biggest kitchen pet-peeves...

  4. I love the kitchen! I am like you, I want my kitchen curtains hung when I move and I want my tablecloth put on the table. THAT makes it feel like home. Love how you hung the cutting boards. Great idea! Also love the little donut shaped teapot. Too cute. Can't wait to see more of your new home. Gorgeous!

    1. Erin, I think it's because you have such a tender heart towards others, and you knew (felt) what this meant to me to finally be at this point.
