De-Constructing Cravings

My one and only weakness is ice cream! I enjoy the feel of cold and creamy inside my mouth and sliding down my throat! YUM! YUM! Needless to say, ice cream has also given me several unwanted pounds and aggravates the inflammation in my body. I hate hurting, but most of the time I love ice cream more.

Do any of you have the same dilemma?

Are the foods you love
the same foods your body hates?

  3. I like chip dip, but I can't eat it w/o feeling sick. Every once in awhile, I dumbly indulge (and never regret it, even though... ). ;)

  4. Oh good for you!!
I have a weakness for reeses cups. But last time I ate a bunch of minis I had a gallbladder attack and was in such pain for three days. I had to get a shot to make it cease. Needless to say that cured me. I haven't had one since that happened in january.

  7. Becky you aren't alone when it comes to cravings. I love sweets and finally stopped buying them and replacing the sweets in my house with fresh fruits. If the sweets aren't in my house, it is harder to eat them. ;)

  8. Wow! 4 inches! That's amazing, Becky! Keep it up!
One of my proudest moments was when I went cold turkey on cigarettes. It's been five years since I stopped smoking, and there's no looking back! :)

  12. I find that whenever I crave for something, it's not because I'm hungry, but because I have an underlying need to satisfy. I should do some introspection and identify what it is that's lacking in my life.

    1. Same with me Pepper. I've had a lot of experience with this in my own cravings and also coaching others in being able to separate the need from the craving. Once they understand how to do it, a whole new window of possibilities opens for them.
