Large shelves and fireplace. I can tell this will be my favorite spot during the cold winter months!
Most of the books on this side are for kids! The 2 butterfly boxes hide the kids WII games.
Little House On The Prarie books accompanied by an old doll pram, tricycle, and rag doll. The soldiers were given to me by my Mom...wish I knew where she got them. (Can you see the decor my nephew added? More about my nephew in an upcoming post...he's quite the tease.) The green steam engine was one CL played with when he was a tot. The stacking dolls were given to me by Boggie. 12 dolls in all, symbolizing me and my 11 kids...pretty sentamental!
Flag was flown in an airplane during a battle in Irac in honor of my dad who was a co-pilot in WWII.
Thanks for stopping by, next I'll show you how this little project turned out.....
How bright and airy your new room looks. Love the fireplace.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. The fireplace is a favorite of mine too.
DeleteWhat a beautiful, beautiful room. I see you have a flat screen above your fireplace. I want to do that too, but my Hubs doesn't want it. Sigh!
ReplyDeleteIt's all about give and take isn't it. Luckily CL and I both agreed on the TV.

ReplyDeleteSpanish Pinay
The trunks are filled with family histories. The large one has histories of CL and my ancestors, and the top trunk has CL and my personal histories in it. The kids each have their own history boxes too.
DeleteWhat a nice room. Love the built in shelves and the white trunks you have stacked up. I like how you have 11 dolls for all of your children.
ReplyDeleteWe got these trunks (set of 3) from RC Willey for about $25 a few years ago. It was one of their promotional things.
