Stand Up Gardening - Part 2

In Part 1, which you can view HERE, I showed you my neighbors Stand Up Garden.

This is Part 2 which will show what I found doing a Google search for Stand Up Gardening using different construction materials!

In most of the following pictures the beds are still too low to garden from a standing position, but they can easily be made higher.

  1. Loved your pictures - I wish we could garden in our backyard! We have a tropical motif behind the pool but the rest in concrete.. I did love the concrete retainer wall on one of the pictures - we used those for our Desert tortoise's run - they are decorative and heavy enough to stay.

  2. This is excellent and you know I'd share it with my husband but I'm toooo afraid I go outside and see the arial version hanging from our electric lines or the trough style. LOL I'm keeping this my little secret from him.

  4. I would love to have container gardens....they're so neat. It's looking like rain here and if it does it will be the first in several weeks...we've been having to water our garden!

  5. We've been getting all your rain...on the opposite side, we usually have to start hand watering around the end of April, but because of all the rain we didn't start hand watering until this week...hope you get your storm!

  12. This was a fun read, and I love the pictures! I'm getting ready to help my girl do some gardening. I like the idea of not breaking my back in the process, though I'm not sure I can handle a retaining wall. The inspiration is great! Perhaps I'll think of an adaptation. Thanks for sharing this!
