ABC's of Me

I did this awhile back and wanted to update it for voiceBoks.com
Hope you enjoy!

– Ancestors - We have traced our family back to 800 AD.  Many of them have left some sort of written story behind.  The connection I feel to them helps me understand who I am and where I came from. Some turned out to be great and some turned out to be a bit shady. :) Ummm, wonder which ones I take after!  LOL

B – Blue - my favorite color.

C - Cabin - It would be so fun to live in a cabin in the woods.

D – Daffodils and Daisies - are my favorite flowers.

E – Eggs - and toast are my favorite breakfast.

F – Family - I love having 11 kids!

G – Grandma’s and Gardening - are the best, so glad I’m one!

H – Holidays - All of them, will find my home decked out with decorations, music, movies, and FUN!

I – Ice cream - is my greatest weakness!

J – Jogging - I dislike jogging (thank goodness I don’t have to do it anymore).

K – Kids - and babies are so delightful to be around!

L  - Lance - is my husband, my best friend, and my CHAMPION!

M – Mormon - I’m so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  With a living prophet and 12 Apostles to lead us and give us the knowledge God wants us to have in these days!

N – Night crawlers (worms) - My Dad would have us go out in our fields at night with flashlights looking for night crawlers so we could use them when we went fishing.  YUCK!

O – Open - I like to keep my doors and windows open until the snow falls!

P – Patriotic - I'm proud to be an American.  My family has a long history of fighting for freedom.

Q – Quaint - I ♥ things that are quaint...especially cottages.

R – Rosebud - We used to have a Jersey milk cow named Rosebud!

S – Singing - You can catch me singing and humming most anytime of the day!

T – Tree climbing - was my favorite pass time as a girl!

U – Umbrellas - are so fun to have even when it’s not raining!

V – voiceBoks…since joining vB I’ve had some great opportunities to  find my voice (put into words who I am).

W – Wheelchair - I have a hate/love relationship with mine.

X – Xerarch means growing up in dry places, I live in the desert and love to garden. This was Xtra tricky!

Y – Yes, I love this word!

Z – Zemni is a blind mole, I wrote a children’s story about my kids meeting a very impatient and timid zemni (named Gus) in our Sweet Memories Garden.

  1. It is so nice to learn more about you Becky. The Daffodil is also my favorite flower. After a long hard winter, it is so amazing to me that the daffodil survived and is beautiful.

  2. Is that your garden that you created? I am impressed!!! I love getting to know bloggers better with the alphabet thing, I am doing the same thing in a day or two. I have lots of umbrellas, people keep giving them to me. So what do you do with yours when it is not raining?

  11. It's so great to know more about you. I didn't know you tracked your ancestry back that far, wow, awesome. I love your Family description, there's nothing like home, right!?! I live in the desert too and it can get very dry. Too hard something for plants and delicate flowers.
